Cambridge International Agrees To Reschedule O Level Exams After 15th May

Cambridge International has agreed to reschedule O-level exams after 15th May. The federal minister for education and professional training, Shafqat Mahmood has made this announcement and informed the students about the decision of Cambridge. The details regarding the new schedule for O level exams will be issued later by the concerned authorities. It is also notified to the students that the exams of A level will be held according to the previously announced schedule so the students are instructed to prepare for the upcoming examinations as they will not be delayed. The minister ensured that during the exams SOPs will be strictly followed. 

O and A-Level Exams      

After the decision of Cambridge international, it is expected that the first exam of O level will be held after Eid-ul-Fitr. Every year thousands of candidates get admission to the O and A level and the Cambridge holds the exams for the registered students in the various series. The CIE has said that the authorities are working hard to keep the students safe by facilitating them and help them to progress with their education. In this regard, they have shown their support to the students of Pakistan. 

Statement of Federal Education Minister

Earlier the students had demanded to postpone the O and A level exams as they could not complete their coursework due to the spread of the coronavirus pandemic. The students also took Twitter and requested the federal education minister to delay the exams. After this, the Shafqat Mahmood had discussed the matter with the CIE officials and informed the students about the postponement of O level exams that will be now conducted according to the new schedule. It is informed to the students that this year the Cambridge will not switch to the school assessed grades. Earlier because of COVID-19 the students of O and A level got promoted but this year the exams will be held to assess the performance of students.
