University Of Health Sciences Announces To Extend Its Closure Due To Third Wave of COVID-19
University of health sciences has announced to extend its closure till 11th April 2021 due to the third wave of COVID-19. Earlier it had been announced that the university will reopen on 29th March and will resume academic activities but because of the ongoing situation of the pandemic, the government has notified the students about the closure. UHS has issued the notification and informed the students that all the scheduled academic activities will continue through the online mode and the students will attend the online lectures for the completion of their course work. This rule will be applied to all the affiliated and constituent colleges of the University of Health Sciences.
UHS Examinations
The concerned officials have said that all the examinations of the university will be conducted according to the issued schedule so the students must be prepared to appear in the exams. Moreover, the University of Health Sciences ensured that all the examinations will be conducted by following the SOPs. It is mandatory for the students to wear masks and maintain social distance during the examinations.
Increase In Coronavirus Cases
Due to the rapid increase in the number of coronavirus cases the lockdown has been imposed in the various cities so that the risk of the spread of the virus can be minimized. The meeting of the national command and operation center was held on 24th March 2021 in which it had been decided to shut down the educational institutes in the coronavirus hotspot areas. After the meeting, the federal minister for education and professional training, Shafqat Mahmood said the schools, colleges, and universities will remain closed till 11th April and the review session of NCOC will be held on 7th April to analyze the COVID-19 situation.
