Leading Indian actor Ishtiaq Jaffery has passed away
New Delhi: Senior Bollywood actor Ishtiaq Ahmed Jaffery famous as Jagdeep has died at the age of 81.
Actor Jagdeep’s real name was Syed Ishtiaq Ahmed Jafari and he was the father of comedian and dancer Javed Jaffery
According to Indian media reports, Jagdeep was suffering from various ailments and he died at his residence in Bandra area of Mumbai, he will be buried in Mumbai tomorrow.
His three sons Javed Jaffery, Naveed Jaffery and Hussain Jaffery are associated with Bollywood while the famous dance show ‘Boogie Woogie’ is the reason for fame of these brothers.
Ishtiaq Jaffery was born on March 29, 1939 in Amritsar and has acted in about 400 films.
His memorable films include sholay, andaz apna apna, afsana, Aar paar, etc. He last appeared in the film ‘Masti Nahi Sasti’ released in 2017. The film also stars the late Qadir Khan, Shakti Kapoor, Johnny Lever and Prem Chopra.
