Instagram launched 'Reels' to replace tik tok in India

Following the ban on China’s most popular app, Tik tok, in India, the photo-sharing app Instagram has introduced its app with  Tik tok-based feature ‘Reels’.

Instagram introduced its , Tik tok feature ‘Reels’ in Brazil last year, after which it was launched in France and Germany.

Under this feature, Instagram users will have access to music like Tik Tok, which they can use to create and share a 15-second video.

Now the company has introduced this feature in India after Brazil, Germany and France, where the government has also banned 59 Chinese apps, including Tik Tok.

It may be recalled that the Indian government has been under pressure in recent days in Ladakh’s Gulwan Valley at the hands of the Chinese army and the opposition has reacted strongly and now India has banned Chinese mobile applications to quell public anger.

The Chinese apps blocked by the Indian central government include the popular video sharing app, Tik tok , UC Browser, CM Browser, Beauty Plus and others.
