Educational institutes to reopen in first week of September
An inter-provincial education ministers’ conference chaired by Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood agreed to open educational institutes in the first week of September, but final approval would be sought from the NCOC tomorrow.
According to details, an inter-provincial education ministers’ conference was held on Video link under the chairmanship of Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood.
In the meeting, Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani demanded that private schools are suffering from the severe financial crisis, interest-free loans should be given to schools, on which Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood assured Saeed Ghani that he would talk to the Prime Minister in this regard.
The meeting agreed to open educational institutions with strict SOPs in the first week of September. Sources said that all the provincial education ministers agreed on the proposal. Educational institutions will also be allowed to conduct examinations with SOPs. The Corona situation will be reviewed before the institution opens.
According to sources, final approval on educational institutions will be sought from the NCOC tomorrow, while it has been decided to convene two inter-provincial education mainisters’ conferences before September.
