Asif Ali Zardari will be indicted on Monday in Park Lane Reference
The Islamabad accountability court has decided to indicate former president Asif Ali Zardari on July 6 in the Park Lane reference.
The accountability court has decided to charge Asif Zardari on the video link in case of ill health, on which the registrar accountability court Islamabad has written a letter to NAB Karachi to complete the arrangements.
In the letter, Asif Ali Zardari has been directed to ensure his attendance at home or hospital in case of ill health.
According to the text of the letter, the presence of all the accused including Asif Ali Zardari in Karachi on July 6 should be The letter said that video link arrangements should be made in NAB Karachi for the indictment of other accused including Khawaja Anwar Majeed and Farooq Abdullah.
It may be recalled that the date of the indictment of former president Asif Ali Zardari and other accused in the Park Lane case has been extended several times while the former president is in Karachi on medical grounds where he is undergoing treatment.
Asif Zardari is accused of buying 2,460 kanals of land in Islamabad through the Park Lane Company. According to NAB sources, the actual value of about 2,500 kanals of land purchased in Islamabad is Rs 2 billion but it was bought for only Rs 62 crore.
