Donald Blome takes oath as US Ambassador to Pakistan




WASHINGTON: US Ambassador to Pakistan Donald Blome, a career diplomat, has taken an oath as envoy to Pakistan.

According to details, US Ambassador-designate Donald Blome took the oath of office and will soon be sent to Islamabad to carry out other professional matters, including promoting Pak-US relations.

The State Department said that Donald Blome, as ambassador, is committed to strengthening Pak-US relations. Blome has also served as US Ambassador to Tunisia.

According to the State Department, Donald Blome wants to develop relations with Pakistan. The two countries are seeking partnerships in various fields, including health, energy, trade, and investment.

According to the US State Department spokesman, the US Ambassador to Pakistan Donald Blome will promote cooperation on a range of challenges ranging from the coronavirus to climate change.

It should be noted that this year marks the 75th anniversary of the beginning of Pak-US relations in August 2022. The State Department says Donald Blome will return to Pakistan soon to take over.
