NCOC Decides To Reopen Schools From 16th September

Earlier the meeting of the national command and operation center was held in which it had been decided to reopen the educational institutes. According to the statement issued by Asad Umer, the government has decided to reopen the schools in the various districts of Punjab and one district of KPK from 16th September 2021. The NCOC chairman further said that the educational institutes have been closed due to the coronavirus pandemic as the government had imposed strict restrictions but now the students can attend the school for the resumption of academic activities. 

Reopening Of Schools

It has been said that the schools in some districts of Punjab and KPK will be reopened with 50% attendance. However, the strict restrictions will continue to remain in the districts of Lahore, Gujrat, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Multan, and Bannu districts. Moreover, inter-city transport will be only allowed with the accommodation of 50% of passengers. The minister said that the COVID-19 restrictions will remain imposed in the various districts till 30th September 2021. He also urged the people to get vaccinated in order to prevent the deadly disease and also instructed the people to follow the standard operating procedures. 

Decision of Government

In the meeting of the national command and operation center, it had also been decided that all the students of matric and intermediate will be passed this year. The decision has been taken by considering the ongoing situation of the coronavirus pandemic as the supplementary exam cannot be conducted after the issuance of the result. However, the matric result 2021 and intermediate result 2021 will be announced according to the schedule. The minister added that many people have been vaccinated and the government is striving hard to offer better services to the people so that everyone can get the vaccination in order to minimize the spread of the COVID-19.
