PMC Warns Students About Fake Medical Degree Programs




The Pakistan medical commission has warned about fake degree programs. In this regard, the commission has issued a notification to inform the students. According to the notification, there are some institutes that are falsely claiming to be approved by the Pakistan medical commission and offering MBBS and other medical-related programs in foreign universities such as Kyrgyzstan and others. So the students are warned to not take admission in these fraudulent degree programs as the commission will not approve the programs even after the completion of the degree of the student. 

PMC Approved Admissions

It has been notified to no affiliated institutes to the Pakistan medical commission had used the PMC logo in the advertisement of the admissions in MBBS/BDS degree programs in the foreign medical colleges. Many advertisements have used the logo of the commission without any authority. The candidates should not take admission to such educational institutes and carefully check the admission advertisement before applying for the MBBS and BDS degree programs. According to the commission no approval has been provided to the recognized institutes for such activities.

PMC Act

According to the PMC act under section 34, whoever in contravention of the provision of the PMC act operates or runs any institution or advertise any admission in an institution for imparting training and education in medicine or dentistry should be an offense punishable with rigorous imprisonment for a term that can be extended up to the five years and fine may extend to fifty million rupees but shall not less than five million rupees and moreover the institute will also permanently closed to perform any future activity.
