The Punjab Government To Upgrade 27,000 Primary and Elementary Schools
The Punjab government has announced to upgrade 27,000 primary and elementary schools. For this purpose, the government has allocated a budget of Rs. 50 billion. The main purpose is to facilitate the students by providing them the better education opportunities. The announcement has been made by the chief minister of Punjab, Sardar Usman Buzdar. The minister said that the government is struggling to offer the best facilities to the students so that they can continue to get an education and play a significant role in the development of the country. According to the sources across the province Punjab almost 27, 512 schools will be upgraded. For this program, the CM has formed the committees and the progress will be reviewed weekly so that the process of the up-gradation can be completed soon.
Up-Gradation Of Schools
As per the statement issued the first phase of the school up gradation will be started from 1st August that will benefit around four million students in the province. The mister added that to provide quality education to all the students is the topmost priority of the government and for this purpose; the authorities have taken this decision so that no student is left behind from the basic right to get an education. While addressing, the minister said that the government will continue to make efforts for the promotion of education.
Second Phase Of Program
In the second phase of the program, 6653 elementary schools will be upgraded to a higher level. Moreover to accommodate the students the elementary classes will be held in the primary schools initially and then afterward the classes will be shifted to the upgraded schools. For time being the two shifts will be held in the schools and the students can easily attend the lectures and continue to study without having any inconvenience.
