HEC Extends Deadline For National Research Programme For Universities 2021

The higher education commission has extended the deadline for the national research programme for universities 2021. Earlier the last date for the submission of the application form was 30th April 2021 but now the candidates can submit the application till 7th May 2021. The candidates are notified to fulfill the mentioned requirements before the last date in order to apply for the offered research programme. HEC has taken this decision due to the several requests received by the candidates. It is pertinent to mention here that no further extension will be provided to the candidates due to the tight review cycle. 

National Research Programme For Universities 2021

The commission has also defined the eligibility criteria for the applicants and according to the criteria, the principal investigator should be a faculty member working on a regular on a contract basis in the public/ private higher education institutions, and the principal investigator can have one NRPU grant at a time. The faculty members of public and private universities are eligible to apply in NRPU 2021. HEC selects eligible candidates based on merit. The National Research Programme For Universities 2021 is aimed to provide grants to the best scientific projects so that the candidates can have better research opportunities. The amount of the NRPU funding will range up to 20 million project duration is three years.

Application Submission

Applicants are required to submit the online application form with the required documents as mentioned by the higher education commission of Pakistan. It is mandatory for the candidates to submit the application form through the web portal of the commission. The candidates have to submit the attested documents to the respective head of research at the respective HEIs. The candidates are informed to submit the application form before the last date to avoid any inconvenience.
