Shafqat Mahmood Announces To Hold Matric and Intermediate Exams As Per Schedule

The federal minister for education and professional training, Shafqat Mahmood has announced that the annual exams of matric and intermediate 2021 will be held as per schedule. The meeting of the national command and operation center was held on 24th March 2021 to decide the extension of the closure of the educational institutes. In the meeting, all provincial education ministers and health ministers participated to review the ongoing situation of the coronavirus pandemic and to take further decisions. Due to an increase in the number of coronavirus cases the education minister has decided to close down the schools, colleges, and universities in the coronavirus hotspot areas. According to the announcement, the educational institutes will remain closed till 11th April 2021. The next meeting of the national command and operation center will be held on 7th April 2021 to review the situation of the coronavirus and to decide the reopening of educational institutes. 

Matric and Intermediate Exams 2021

The education minister has clarified that the annual exams of matric and intermediate 2021 will be held according to the announced schedule. Earlier it had been announced that the matric and intermediate exams are going to be commenced in May, June, and July and the board authorities have issued the matric date sheet 2021 and intermediate date sheet 2021 for the students so that they can prepare for the upcoming exams as per the exam schedule provided to them. 

No Promotion Without Exams

Shafqat Mahmood also added that this year the students will not be promoted to the next class without appearing in the annual exams of matric and intermediate. In the academic year 2020, the students got promoted according to the promotion policy devised by the government to save the precious time of the students. But for the current academic year 2021, the date sheet has been issued and the candidates are notified to prepare for the exams.
