Rainfall in Punjab : More than 18 people died
Rainfall in Punjab has wreaked havoc in different parts of Punjab and 18 people have been killed and several others injured in raining due to lightning strikes, roof collapses and other accidents.
According to a rescue spokesman, the roof of a dilapidated house collapsed in Ibrahim Colony of Harbanspura area of Lahore, killing four people and injuring five others.
Upon receiving the report of the incident, rescue workers rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies of 2 persons and 7 injured out of which 2 more died during treatment while the condition of the remaining injured is out of danger.
According to rescue sources, the dead included Sabir, Kamran, Azam and Aslam while the injured included Habibullah, Sahil, Qamar Bibi, Fatima and Farida Bibi.
Meanwhile, the roof of a house on Muridke Road in Sheikhupura collapsed, leaving 2 people trapped under the rubble.
In Mandi Bahauddin 5 people died when the roof of the house collapsed due to the rain.
In lahore the roads are drowned in to water after it continuously rained.
