Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) legal adviser Tafazul Rizvi says Umar Akmal can appeal against his sentence within 14 days.
Speaking on a special Geo News program, Tafazul Rizvi said that Umar Akmal had admitted before the disciplinary panel that he had not told the PCB about his meeting with the Match fixers and the ban had been imposed on the basis of his confession.
The PCB’s legal adviser said it was Akmal’s decision not to bring a lawyer, now he can appeal in 14 days in order to have a solace in decision.
On the other hand, on the question of delay in Saleem Malik’s apology, Tafzal Haider Rizvi said that he doesn’t know about a delay but it is good to apologize despite delaying it .
He said that he could not comment on the fact that Saleem Malik had committed another crime.
Umar Akmal has been banned for three years from all kinds of cricket. He has the opportunity to appeal for the decision within 14 days. He was allegedly involved in the match fixing scandal .
