PTI leadership announces to go to Supreme Court against K Electric

The leadership of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Sindh province has announced to go to the Supreme Court against Electric, a private company supplying electricity to Karachi.

The PTI is holding a sit-in in front of the Electric Head Office against load shedding in Karachi.

Opposition leader in Sindh Assembly Firdous Shamim Naqvi said in his address to the sit-in that what was the weight of the wires that were taken off and at what rate should they be sold? We will stay here until k Electric responds in the affirmative.

He said that we will go to the Supreme Court against K Electric and appeal to the Chief Justice to take suo motu notice.

“We have been asking them for a week to make promises i front  of the people,” he said.

It may be recalled that in the month of June, as the heat intensified, power was cut off for 14 to 16 hours in different parts of the city and now unannounced load shedding is going on in the city by K Electric under the pretext of rain.

The duration of load shedding in the city has increased from 12 to 14 hours due to which the citizens are facing difficulties in hot weather.
