Former Special Assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan Firdous Ashiq Awan has reportedly been removed from the WhatsApp group of the Information Ministry before being removed from her post.

Yesterday, Firdous Ashiq Awan, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan for Information, was removed from her post and replaced by Lieutenant General (retd) Asim Bajwa.

In the Geo News program ‘Geo Pakistan’, Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry was asked how true is the news of the removal of Firdous Ashiq Awan from the WhatsApp group of the Ministry of Information before she was removed from office. To this question Fawad Chuadhry laughed.

He said that the removal of Firdous Ashiq Awan was already delayed, adding that the Prime Minister took time to decide as to how long she should remained in ministry .

Now, Senator Shibli Faraz has been made Federal Minister for Information while Asim Bajwa has been made Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Information.

On the other hand, Fawad Chaudhry and Firdous Ashiq Awan have also had differences and have criticized each other many times in past .
