Harry and Meghan release daughter's first birthday photo
LOS ANGELES: A new photo has been released by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on their daughter Lilibet’s first birthday.
Wearing a light blue frock and white bow on her head, the red-haired toddler sat on the grass in a backyard picnic over the weekend in a candid snapshot taken by close family friend Misan Harriman.
She turned one on Saturday and the images were taken at her birthday party at their Windsor home, Frogmore Cottage.
The pictures are by Nigerian-born British photographer Misan Harriman. “It was such a privilege to celebrate the 1st birthday of Lilibet with my family and hers! Joy and face painting all around,” said Harriman on Instagram.
He tweeted a black and white photo of Meghan holding Lilibet, alongside his own wife and children. The last picture of Lilibet released was for the couple’s Christmas card last year.
According to reports, close family and friends were at the party, which it described as an “intimate and casual backyard picnic”. It said guests are understood to have included Harry’s cousin Zara Tindall, her husband Mike, and their children.

A highlight of the gathering was a cake by American baker Claire Ptak, who created the wedding cake for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in 2018.
Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor was born in California and was named in honor of Queen Elizabeth II, whose family nickname has been Lilibet since she was a child.
The family, who lives in Montecito, California, were in Britain last week for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
