Palestinian student refuses to shake Blinken’s hand at graduation

WASHINGTON: A Palestinian student has gone viral after she refrained from shaking hands with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken during a graduation ceremony.

A graduation ceremony was held at Georgetown University in the US capital Washington DC where Antony Blinken was present to congratulate the graduating student

During the ceremony, a Palestinian student, Noorain, took the stage to receive her diploma waving the Palestinian flag didn’t shake the hand of US Secretary of State Antony Blinken,

It was learned that the student, who skipped Blinken and shook hands with the others on the stage, has criticised the policies of the US administration including the Israeli occupation of West Bank.

Other students waved Palestinian flags during the ceremony at Georgetown University. The video of the incident has gone viral on social media.
