The Government of Sindh Directs To Ensure Vaccination of Students

The government of Sindh has directed all the school authorities to ensure the vaccination of the students aged 12 to 18 years as the Omicron variant has been spreading rapidly across the country. In this regard, the government has been struggling hard to take all the necessary steps for the safety of the students so that the students can attend the educational institutes without any disruption and their precious time can be saved. According to the statement issued by the government, it is mandatory for the students, teaching, and non-teaching staff to get the vaccination as per the decision of the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC).Moreover the educational institutes including schools, colleges and universities have been reopened in Sindh from 1st January 2022.

Vaccination Cards

So as per the announcement by the provincial government, the administration of all privately managed educational institutions is directed to ensure the 100% vaccination of the students and staff of their schools so that the spread of the pandemic can be minimized and the students can take the lectures according to the routine for the completion of coursework. Moreover, it has also been directed to collect copies of vaccination cards from staff members so that it can be ensured that the order is implemented properly.

Sindh Education Department

The Sindh education department has urged the students and teachers to get vaccinated. In case any student aged 12 and above or a staff member is found to be unvaccinated then strict action will be taken by the concerned authorities against the school’s administration according to the Sindh Private Educational Institutions Ordinance. The Sindh government has taken this decision after considering the situation of the COVID-19 in the province as the new confirmed cases of Omicron variant have been reported. So due to the alarming surge in coronavirus cases, the provincial government has been taking all the preventative measures on the recommendations of health ministry officials.
