Pakistani superstar Shaan Shahid in an interview revealed that he turned down an offer of a role in Bollywood’s blockbuster film Ghajini. The Bollywood film is one of Amir Khan’s most popular and hit films, a film heavily inspired by Christopher Nolan’s Memento.
Shaan Shahid revealed that he got an offer to play a character in Ghajini but he turned it down as it could have been played by anyone. “I was offered a character that anyone in India could’ve done, it wasn’t something Bollywood needed me for,” he said.

About the character, he stated that it was of a villain.
Shaan Shahid added: “For three to four days, I kept trying to explain my case to Aamir and then I resorted to a Punjabi example; I told him ‘If you’re India’s pehelwan (heavyweight), I am Pakistan’s pehelwan (heavyweight), men paisay leke kushti nahi harunga (I won’t lose a fight for money)’.”
He added that it wasn’t such a role which required a Pakistani being called to India to play it. Furthermore, the Khuda Kay Liye star also revealed that he suggested Nayyer Ejaz for the role.
“I also told Aamir that if you guys really want an actor from Pakistan, then we have many who meet your role requirements, even someone like Nayyer Ejaz.”
It is pertinent to mention that Humayun Saeed also auditioned for the role in Ghajini. In an interview, the Mere Paas Tum Ho actor revealed that he couldn’t get the role because Amir Khan said: “You are too good-looking for this part.”
