PFID and NSU will Jointly Offer Fashion & Interior Décor Skills Training Certificates
Pakistan Institute of Fashion & Design (PIFD) Vice Chancellor Prof. Hina Tayyaba Khalil visited National Skills University Islamabad (NSU) workshops and interacted with students from diverse disciplines.
She appreciated the university’s efforts in launching six undergraduate technology programs within the shortest possible time. The PFID Vice Chancellor took a keen interest in various short-term skills learning programs and interacted with students. According to her efforts of the NSU in establishing state-of-the-art skills, training facilities are praiseworthy. She appreciated and interacted with students from the Cybersecurity, Mobile Manufacturing, and Carpentry shop. Prof. Hina suggested initiating joint certificate programs by the PFID and NSU mainly in specialized skills like Fashion & Design, Dress Making, Gem and Stone Jewelry Making, and Interior Designing. A team of experts from her institute will be visiting the NSU soon to finalize arrangements.
The National Skills University Vice Chancellor appreciated Prof. Hina for sparing time to visit the NSU. According to him, the PIFD and the NSU are unique institutions involved with skills learning. He welcomed the offer to initiate joint certification and sharing of expertise between the two institutions. Prof. Hina was also presented with a skill shield an emblem of the National Skills University Islamabad.
