Video: Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar Admits Feminists are Right

The renowned script writer – Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar – who is known for his anti-feminist views has acknowledged that public places are not safe for women as feminists say.

The “meray pass tum ho” writer appeared on a talk show on Bol News where he was asked about the recent wave of violence against women in Pakistan, especially in reference to the Minar-e-Pakistan incident. Khalil ur Rehman Qamar condemned the unfortunate incident and termed the victim blamers as “besharam.”

“There are still some men out there who will repeatedly question why she chose to walk outside alone. To them I have to say “be sharam”, listen to the feminists who say that you have made life unbearable for our daughters. I also have to admit that I completely side with feminists on this perspective that our society doesnt respect or value women at all. This wasnt a small incident but this was 400 men, who wouldn’t spare the life of a woman but will destory her completely.”

KRQ Anti-feminist views:

The script writer became a controversial figure following his heated argument with Marvi Sarmad in a TV show. He has also been seen actively criticising the Aurat March and other such feminist movements.

Ever since then, he is regularly invited to talk about women issues.

The feminists have been calling for him to be banned on discussion related to women issues. It was indeed surprising to hear him support the feminist narrative.
