The news came to light when Samina Peerzada invited Nadia Jamil to her show for an interview. During the show, Nadia Jamil revealed that her talent caught the attention of legendary Bollywood director Yash Chopra.
Actress Nadia Jamil revealed that the famous director initially offered Rani Mukherji’s role in Veer Zaara to her. According to details, Yash Chopra had envisioned the project initially with Aishwarya Rai as Zaara, Nadia Jamil as Saamiya, and Shah Rukh Khan as Veer.

While speaking to Samina Peerzada, Nadia Jamil said:
I was in talks for the film with Yash Chopra but couldn’t do the film as I had to take care of my child. The talks even went on till my son became 2 months of age. I still stand by my decision of not doing the film despite the role being very pivotal and strong in the narrative.
Speaking of acting, Nadia Jamil mentioned:
I couldn’t work as much as I wanted as an artist in my career because of my health issues since I was battling multiple diseases.
It is pertinent to mention that the role of Saamiya in the movie Veer Zaara featured a Pakistani lawyer who helped the protagonist (Veer) with his case.
The Bollywood film Veer Zaara was released on Diwali in 2004 with a stellar cast featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta, and Rani Mukherjee and became a record success worldwide.
As for Actress Nadia Jamil, she revealed that she might have lost out on the film but earned a lifelong friendship with Yash Chopra and his family; she holds them very dear to herself.
