Sindh Government Announces To Extend The Closure Of Educational Institutes
The Sindh government has announced to extend the closure of all the educational institutes across the province. According to the announcement the schools, colleges and universities will remain closed till 23rd May 2021. Earlier the government had announced that the academic activities will be resumed from 17th May but due to the prevailing situation of the coronavirus pandemic, the authorities have further extended the closure. Now the students of nursery to grade 12 will attend their respective institutes as per the schedule provided by the government.
School Education and Literacy Department
In this regard, the notification has been issued by the school education and literacy department and according to the notification, the principals and headmasters of the schools can call the staff members to the school on a rotation basis so that they can prepare for the online classes and also manage the other learning activities related to the homework. The homework and the assignments will be assigned to the students through Whatsapp and email that allows the students to cover the syllabus on time. The government has taken this step to facilitate the students so that they can continue to study and prepare for the exams after the completion of coursework.
Closure Of Education Institutes
Due to the increase in the number of coronavirus cases the Sindh government had announced on 26th April 2021 to shut down all schools, colleges, and universities. Moreover, the government had also put a ban on inter-provincial transport to contain the spread of COVID-19. As per the latest updates, the educational institutes in the other provinces will remain closed till 23rd May 2021. The meeting of the national command and operation Centre will be held to review the ongoing situation of the pandemic and to take the decision regarding the reopening of the further closure of the educational institutes.
