National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) Announces Eid Holidays




The national command and operation Centre has announced the Eid holidays. According to the government, the eid holidays will be from 10th May 2021 to 15th May 2021. Besides this, the other religious events will be celebrated by following the SOPs devised by the government in order to prevent the prevalence of COVID-19. Moreover, the government has also instructed the people to not heave their homes without any reason from 8th May 2021 to 16th May 2021 as there has been a rapid upsurge in the number of coronavirus cases.

Restrictions During Eid Holidays

It is pertinent to mention here that during the eid holidays all businesses will remain closed except for medical stores, retail outlets, vaccine centers, butcher shops, bakeries, dairy shops, petrol pumps, food takeaways, utility services including media, call centers, electric, gas, internet, etc. The decision has been taken by considering the ongoing situation of coronavirus pandemic across the country However, it is mandatory to follow preventative measures in all places. Chand Rat Bazaar, henna, jewelry, and catch stalls will be completely banned. Furthermore, the government has also put a complete ban on Tourism in Pakistan. The people will not be allowed to the northern areas and the tourist spots during the eid to save the people from the coronavirus. 

Decision of Government 

The government has advised the people to stay at home and ensure the proper implementation of SOPs. It has been furthermore informed that the educational institutes in the coronavirus hotspot areas have been closed as per the directives issued by the federal minister for education and professional training, Shafqat Mahmood. The education minister has also postponed all the exams till 15th June. The board exams will be conducted in July and the students will appear in Cambridge exams in October/November series 2021.
