The Indian political party named Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has announced that it will not let Mahira Khan or any other Pakistan artist work in India.

The development comes after the Humsafar actress revealed that she has been working on an upcoming Indian digital venture, despite the ban India imposed on Pakistani actors in the wake of the Uri terror attack.

In a recent interview, Khan revealed that ever since Pakistani artists have been banned from working in India, she has hesitated to take on new projects across the border.

She received many offers for digital projects, but she turned them down out of fear. However, she has decided to start working in India now and doesn’t want to let politics get in the way.

Sources have revealed that the President of MNS Cinema Wing, Ameya Khopkar, said, “We’ll not allow Mahira or any other Pakistani artist work here, be it Maharashtra or in any part of the country.”

It is to be noted that Khan has been roped in to narrate one of the short stories in a ZEE5 show.

It’s not the first time such a statement has been made. Earlier, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) had issued a warning for Indian celebrities to stop collaborating with Pakistani artists.
