Here is what people are saying about the teaser:
We call it oye motti, but in a playful way. Make the title art cute, uplifting, she’s pouting, she’s a funny gal. But deep down we know for 3/4 of the plot her only chance of happiness with a Nouman is also all she has to live for.

Episode 9 Triggered the Public
The drama came under fire after the release of its latest episode (Episode 9), featuring Tiktoker Kanwal Aftab and Furqan Qureshi.
The storyline follows a woman’s horrifying experience, whose fiancé publicly announces that his bride-to-be must lose 100 kgs within a year else he won’t marry her. However, when Kanwal Aftab shared the teaser of the episode on her Instagram handle, she shared a different perception of the drama. She said:
I am only doing this project for the people who have to face body shaming. I urge my followers to stop criticizing each other for their weight and let everyone live their life the way they want.

The True Intention of the drama ‘Oye Motti’
It turns out that the series was created to do the exact opposite: eliminate body shaming from society. According to the creators of the drama, the aim of the storyline is not to mock women but attempt to shed light on body and fat-shaming and how it affects those at the receiving end of criticism.
Each episode of the Pakistani series has a separate storyline and features a different woman stuck in a different scenario where she is fat-shamed. However, as the story progresses, the woman manages to overcome whatever hurdle comes her way and shines through at the end.
Much More Alarming Aspect of the Drama ‘Oye Motti’
This Pakistani show may have failed to deal with the topic of body-shaming sensitively, but it did present the true reflection of our society’s rishta culture. And this reflection is what’s truly alarming.
Oye Motti showcases the appalling culture of choosing a bride in drawing rooms where women are forced to mold themselves physically and mentally to meet society’s expectations and fit the role of a perfect daughter-in-law.
