Sindh Government To Not Recognize 2-Year Bachelors and Master’s Degree Program
The Sindh government has announced to not recognize the 2- year bachelor’s and master’s degree program. Earlier the higher education commission had issued the notification about abolishing the BA/BSc and MA/MSc programs. After the announcement, many universities protested against the decision of the commission. The concerned authorities stated that the students have to complete their BA/BSc degrees by 31st December 2018 otherwise the commission will not recognize them. The main purpose to phase out the two-year degree program is to provide quality education to the students.
The Decision of Sindh Government
Earlier the Sindh government had rejected the decision of the government and said that the students will be responsible if they take admission to the phased-out program. It has been said that the students can get enrolled in the 4-year BS program offered by the various colleges and universities. The government has taken back its decision of recognizing the two-year program so the students are not notified to not take admission in such programs. In this regard, the government has issued the notification and informed the students the college education department has taken this decision in compliance with the orders of the high court.
