Pakistan’s First Sikh PRO stars in a Ramadan TVC to spread the message of peace and unity [WATCH]




Sikhs form a small community in Pakistan, most of whom live in Punjab and parts of Sindh and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. A member of the Sikh community, Pawan Singh Arora, has recently been doing the rounds on social media for appearing in a TVC created to spread the message of peace and unity among the diverse communities residing in Pakistan.

Who is Pawan Singh Arora?

Pawan Singh Arora was born on the 12th of April 1989. He started his career at the age of 29 and worked as a content writer at a leading advertising agency; Message Communications. Alongside the writing job, Pawan Singh Arora worked as a professional actor at Ajoka Theatre.

Later, Singh became a radio broadcaster at Daily Nai Baat, Apna FM Network, and Mast FM 103. Soon after, Pawan Singh Arora became a District Information Officer Nankana Sahib at the Directorate General Public Relations Punjab.

Pawan Singh Arora – First Sikh to be appointed as PRO

Following his efforts as an Information Officer, the Punjab Government appointed Pawan Singh Arora as a Public Relations Officer to the Governor of Punjab in 2019.

Pawan Singh Arora made the Sikh community proud by becoming the first Sikh to be appointed as Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar’s public relations officer.

While talking to a media outlet, Pawan Singh Arora said:

I assumed charge [at the Directorate General of Public Relations, Punjab] three years ago after passing an exam. There is a quota reserved for minorities, but I was selected on open merit. Now I will apply all my expertise in the PR field to highlight the achievements of the governor’s office.

As soon as the TVC was released online, Pawan Singh Arora took to Facebook to share a heartfelt note about his experience shooting the advertisement.
