Murad Raas Shares The Notification Regarding School-Based Assessment In Punjab
The Punjab education minister, Murad Raas has shared the notification regarding the school-based assessment in Punjab for grades 1-8. The Punjab examination commission has also reviewed and approved the schedule to conduct the assessment in all the schools across Punjab. According to the issued notification school-based assessment will be conducted from 7th June 2021 to 25th June 2021. The report cards will be issued by the schools on 30th June 2021. As per the announcement of the federal minister for education and professional training, Shafqat Mahmood the schools for students of grades prep to eight will be reopened from 28th April 2021.

Earlier the education minister had announced that the physical classes for grades 9 to 12 will be resumed on 19th April 2021. The students will attend the classes only on Mondays and Thursdays in the high-risk areas of Punjab that include Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Sheikhupura, TTSingh, Sargodha, Bahawalpur, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Sialkot, Multan, RYK, DG Khan. However other districts had been directed to follow the regular schedule. The decision had been taken in the meeting of the national command and operation center. Furthermore, the exam schedule for all Punjab boards has been announced by the Punjab boards committee of chairpersons. The annual matric and intermediate exams 2021 will be held from 25th May 2021 and 3rd July 2021 respectively as per the notification issued.
Implementation of SOPs
During the conduct of school-based assessment, there will be proper implementation of SOPs in all the schools. The school education department has directed the teachers, as well as students, have to follow preventative measures. Moreover, the students have to wear the mask and maintain social distance to contain the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
