Higher Education Commission Warns The Students About Fake Degree Attestation




The higher education commission has warned the students about the fake degree attestation agents. The commission took its Twitter and notified the candidates that be aware of the people posing as the fake agents for the attestation of academic certificates, transcripts, and degrees. According to the sources, it has been brought to the commission’s attention that some individuals offer assistance to the students in order to get their degrees attested. The agents paste the fake HEC stamps/tickets on the original degrees and transcripts. It is informed to the students that all the degrees with fake stamps and tickets will be liable to be confiscated when submitted to the higher education commission.

Procedure of Attestation

For the attestation of degrees, the higher education commission of Pakistan has issued the procedure to facilitate the students. The candidates are required to submit the online application form through the web portal of the commission and should fulfill the requirements mentioned by the commission. After the submission of the application form, the commission called the candidates and attests their degrees. During the attestation, the candidates are required to bring the original documents. The attestation fee for the documents is Rs. 1000/- and the candidates have to submit it along with the application form. In the case of any false information, the commission will not attest the degree. 

Fake Degree Attestation Agents

So all the students are advised to remain cautious in this regard, as the higher education commission will not accept degrees with fake attestation. Moreover, it will also cause inconvenience for the students while applying for admission in the various universities. The candidates are informed to follow the prescribed procedure of attestation instead of engaging potentially fraudulent agents. On the other hand, the commission has also provided updates regarding the post-doctoral fellowships program and notified the candidates that the registration for phase-III will be reopened in September 2021.
