NCOC To Review The Decision Regarding Resumption Of Classes Amid COVID-19 Cases

The national command and operation center has announced to review the decision regarding the resumption of classes amid COVID-19 cases. Earlier the federal minister of education and professional training, Shafqat Mahmood had announced that the regular classes in all the major cities will be resumed from 1st March 2021. As per the notification issued the students have to attend the classes 5 days a week by considering the decline in the cases of the coronavirus. But after the session of the NCOC held on the 8th March it had been stated that after reviewing the data reported by the health department the schools might be closed again. According to the updates, there is an increased COVID-19 positivity rate and the government has notified the people to follow the precautionary measures such as wear masks and maintain social distance in order to protect from the lethal virus. 

NCOC Review Session

The review session will be again held in April to take the decision about the resumption of the academic activities and the regular classes in all the provinces across Pakistan. Due to the spread of the coronavirus pandemic the schools had been remained closed for an extended time period. Moreover, the schedule for the commencement of the annual exams also got disturbed as the students remain unable to complete the provided syllabus to appear in the exams. 

SSC and HSSC Exams

The annual exams of the matric and the intermediate could not be conducted this year as per the usual schedule. The board authorities have issued the schedule for the conduction of the exams and the candidates are required to follow the schedule to prepare for the exams accordingly. As per the notification, the SSC exams will be conducted from 4th May 2021 and the HSSC exams will be held from 12th June 2021. The Punjab boards committee of chairpersons was held in which the schedule for the conduct of the examinations 2021 had been decided.
