How Local Board Students Will Get Benefit From The Upcoming Exams When Compared With CIE Students
Due to the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, the education sector has suffered a lot. The academic and the examination activities could not take place according to the usual schedule. The educational institutes remain closed for an extended time period due to which the students can not complete their course work to appear in the exams. Earlier the federal minister for education and professional training had announced that the annual exams of matric, intermediate, and Cambridge will be conducted according to the issued exam schedule and the students will not be promoted this year without appearing in the annual exams. However, there are some benefits that the local board students will get from the upcoming exams when compared with the CIE students.
Reduced Syllabus
The education minister has announced the reduced syllabus for the students of the matric and the intermediate. The board authorities have ensured the students that the question paper of each subject will be devised by considering the smart syllabus. To facilitate the students during the time of the pandemic the concerned officials have taken this step so that the students can cover the syllabus before the commencement of the exams but the syllabus for the CIE students has not been reduced.
Delay In Exams
Generally, the annual exams of the matric conduct in March but this year the exams got delayed and the Punjab boards committee of chairpersons have issued the matric date sheet 2021 and intermediate date sheet 2021 for the students so that they can prepare for the exams as per the schedule provided to them. According to the schedule, the annual exams of the 9th class and 10th class will be commenced from 12th June 2021 and 27th May 2021 respectively. However, the annual exams of the 11th class and 12th class will be held from 16th July 2021 and 30th June 2021. But the CIE exams will be commenced according to the schedule without any delay.
Issuance of Model Papers
As the exams will be based on the smart syllabus so for the guidance of the students the board authorities will issue the model papers. The main purpose is to provide the idea to the students regarding the paper pattern being followed in the actual exams.
Earlier this week #cancelcieeaxms2021 was trending on Twitter and students demanded to cancel the exams. It is pertinent to mention here that the O level and A level exams are scheduled to be held in April and June respectively in Pakistan.
