[PICTURES] Is Amir Bhai playing the lead actor in the upcoming comedy telefilm ‘Bus Corona’?
Recently, Amir Liaquat’s wife, Tuba Aamir, made an entrance into the Pakistani drama industry. Now it looks like lawmaker Aamir Liaquat is also set to make his acting debut.
The self-proclaimed religious figure took to Instagram to share teasers and behind-the-scenes of his upcoming telefilm ‘Bus Corona’. Amir Liaquat didn’t share a lot of details about the movie with fans and followers. However, the pictures portray that the Member of the National Assembly (MNA) will be playing the male lead in the telefilm. He captioned the post with:

About the Telefilm ‘Bus Corona’
The title of the movie is a dead giveaway that the subject matter revolves around the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. Gold Bridge Media is handling the entertainment project. Once released, the comedy telefilm ‘Bus Corona’ will air on Express TV.
It should be noted that Amir Liaquat previously tested positive for the virus and was even hospitalized until he made a recovery.
Amir Liaquat’s acting history
This isn’t the first time news of Amir Liaquat making an acting debut has made the headlines. In 2019 reports emerged that the Ramzan show host was set to play the central role of freedom fighter Burhan Wani in a biopic about the young martyr.
Burhan Wani was a commander in the Kashmiri liberation militia, Hizb-ul-Mujahideen. The Indian military had murdered him in 2018.
Ayub Khosa cast the 48-year-old MNA for the titular role. However, as soon as the news of Amir Liaquat’s casting went viral, the public was angered and urged the director to pick a more suitable actor for the role. After much backlash, news surrounding the film went hush.
Hopefully, this time Amir Liaquat’s acting debut will actually make it to the television screen.
