Federal government decides to give another important post to Zulfi Bukhari
The federal government has decided to make Zulfi Bukhari, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan for Overseas Pakistanis, chairman of the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) board.
According to sources, the Cabinet Division has prepared a summary for the appointment of Zulfi Bukhari and a summary of his appointment as Chairman PTDC Board will be presented in the Federal Cabinet.
Sources said that a panel of 6 names has been proposed for the appointment of 3 members of PTDC Board while MD PTDC has been nominated as Secretary Board.
According to sources, Javed Jabbar, Kamran Lashari and Salman Siddique have resigned as board members.
It may be recalled that the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) had recently decided to close down its operations and lay off its employees.
PTDC had issued a notification to close its northern operation and lay off employees.
Zulfi Bukhari is Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Special Assistant for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development and has the same status as Minister of State.
