Electric buses will start running in Pakistan from this year
ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry has said that electric buses will start running in Pakistan from this year.
A signing ceremony of Strategic Alliance Agreement between Daewoo Pakistan and Skywell Automobile, China, was held. The agreement entails setting up of electric vehicles value chain in Pakistan. In a statement issued on Twitter, Fawad Chaudhry said, “A big step towards fulfilling another promise is a strategic alliance between Daewoo Pakistan and Skywill Company to bring electric buses to Pakistan today.”
“From this year, electric buses will start running in Pakistan and in three years, full manufacturing of these buses will start in Pakistan,” he said.
