YouTube announces support for Pakistan in war against Corona
Leading social media platform YouTube has announced a 5 lac dollars advertising grant to Pakistan to help stop the spread of the corona virus.
In a letter to Prime Minister Imran Khan, Suzanne Wojciech, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of YouTube, praised Pakistan’s efforts against Corona.
Suzanne Wojciech called for a joint fight against the epidemic and said YouTube would continue to support Pakistan in its fight against corona.
“The YouTube administration is aware of the challenges and dangers of this global epidemic and we will continue our efforts to protect users from misinformation and to provide accurate information,” she said.
It may be recalled that Prime Minister Imran Khan had also met YouTube CEO Suzanne Wojciech on the sidelines of the 50th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland in January this year.
During the meeting, the two discussed the use of digital platforms and investing in them.
