Uzair Baloch, the leader of Lyari gang war, has been indicted.
Karachi’s anti-terrorism court has indicted Lyari gang warlord Uzair Baloch in a kidnapping and murder case of a businessman.
Uzair Baloch was apperared in the anti-terrorism court in the Central Jail with his face covered and handcuffed and a heavy contingent of Rangers was deployed in the court on the occasion.
During his appearance in the court room, the apex judge read out the indictment to Uzair Baloch in which he said that he was accused of kidnapping Abdul Samad for ransom and murder. He demanded a ransom of Rs 1 million and killed the businessman despite taking Rs 70,000. What
Later, the honorable judge asked Uzair Baloch if he admits his guilt. Uzair Baloch, who was present in the court, shook his head in denial and denied the charge.
The court issued notices to the Investigation Officer (IO) and witnesses on the refusal of Uzair Baloch and directed them to produce witnesses at the next hearing.
Uzair Baloch’s brother Zubair Baloch and other accused have also been arrested in the case and have already been charged.
Uzair Baloch is accused of killing rival gangster Arshad Pappu and several others while the accused has also been involved in extortion in Karachi.
He is also accused of providing sensitive information to a foreign intelligence agency. Uzair Baloch was taken into custody by the army almost a year after his arrest. He was arrested on 30th jan 2016 by rangers .
