Punjab government decides to provide financial assistance to artists affected by lockdown
Lahore: The Punjab government has decided to provide financial assistance to the artists affected by the lockdown.
Provincial Information and Culture Department has prepared a package of financial assistance for deserving artists, which was approved by Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar.
Referring to this, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar said that Punjab government would provide financial assistance to 3,000 artists under which Rs. 15,000 to 20,000 would be given to deserving artists.
The Punjab Chief Minister said that due to the lockdown, artists and other sections are also facing financial difficulties and the PTI government is fully aware of the difficulties of artists, therefore financial assistance is not a favor but the artists’ right.
