Pakistan Hairdresser and Beautician Association demands Government to allow opening of salons
KARACHI: Pakistan Hairdressers and Beauticians Association has demanded the government to allow the opening of beauty parlours and salons.
Speaking at a press conference in Karachi, renowned beauticians Musarat Misbah, Nadia Hussain, Nabila and Angie Marshall said that the beauticians were most affected in the lockdown. The salons have been closed for seven weeks.
Musarat Misbah asked that if the rest of the markets are opening then why not beauty salons? We should be allowed to open beauty salons with SOPs.
“A large number of women work in our sector,” she said. Women run the whole family. In these circumstances, there are big problems for these women as well.
On the occasion, beautician Nabila said that women workers are suffering. The Chief Minister should meet the beauticians and allow the salons to open.
“We have created international SOPs,” she said. The whole city is open but the salons are closed, this is absolutely unfair .
Earlier, Pakistan Medical Association officials told a press conference in Karachi that if the government was easing the lockdown, then increase the number of staff and ventilators in hospitals, otherwise the situation would worsen.
Addressing a press conference, Dr Ikram had said that easing the lockdown meant opening the door. Not satisfied with the current lockdown, I don’t know what will happen if there is a softening. Not a single servant has died of starvation in our eyes in the lockdown.
During the press conference, Dr Qaiser Sajjad said that there should be a system for Punjab and Sindh. Health infrastructure needs to be improved if there is to be relaxation in lockdown.
Doctors said that many doctors have also been affected by Corona. But no representative of the provincial or federal government went to their aid.
