Iran mistakenly hits its own Ship with missile ,Killing 19
The Iranian navy fired a missile at its own ship during the exercise, killing 19 Navy personnel aboard.
According to the Arab News Agency, the Iranian military confirmed the incident, saying that the incident took place on Sunday when a missile was fired at a target in the Gulf of Oman during military exercises, but it did not reach the nearby Iranian support ship. Jalga, which killed 19 people on board and 15 others.
According to Arab media, the incident took place near the port of Jask, southeast of Tehran, on the Gulf of Oman, where naval exercises were underway in the waters of Jask and Chah-e-Bihar on Sunday.
Iranian state media have described the incident as an accident, saying the plane was hitting its target when the ship was so close to the target that the accident happened. The crashed ship was built in 2018 with a missile from the sea it was capable to fire.
According to Arab media, it has not yet been confirmed how many members were on board the plane at the time of the accident, but the Turkish agency claimed that there were more than 40 members on board, of whom 20 were killed.
Turkish News Agency says Iranian Revolutionary Guards have called the incident a human error.
