Fawad Chaudhry refuses to attend assembly session after Diagnosis of Corona in Assembly members
ISLAMABAD: The Federal Minister for Science and Technology has refused to attend the National Assembly session after several members tested positive for corona.
Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry said in a statement issued on Twitter that after the positive results of many members and staff came positive, I have decided not to attend the National Assembly session starting today.
Expressing displeasure, Fawad Chaudhry said that from day one I have been calling for a session on video link but under the pressure of the opposition, the parliamentary committee has taken an unwise decision which has put the country’s political leadership in unnecessary danger.
It may be recalled that the session of the National Assembly has started at 3 pm today in the Parliament House in which the corona test of the members has been declared mandatory for participation while a sanitizer gate and a temperature detection machine have been installed outside the Parliament House.
The number of Corona cases in the country is increasing day by day, including the members of the Assembly.
A few days ago, the Speaker of the National Assembly Asad Qaiser was also diagnosed with the deadly virus and is currently in isolation.
