Did you know Ali Zafar and his wife were kidnapped once and released after ransom?
Ayesha Fazli and Ali Zafar kidnapped, and kept in custody for about six hours, the case was ransom. So, thankfully, after receiving Rs.2.5 million from their parents, the two were let go.
What actually happened
The couple was kidnapped outside a CD shop in Lahore, and Ali’s car was also taken by the culprits. According to news outlets, the kidnapper moved the two from one place to the other for three hours, and told them to call their parents and tell them to arrange Rs. 2.5 million, otherwise he would shoot them.

The youngster, who apparently belonged to a ‘well-off family’, kept contacting his accomplices using his cellphone.
Once the ransom was paid, the two were released. The amount was paid by Ayesha’s parents to the kidnapper in front of a shopping plaza in Gulberg, he then left the singer and his fiancee at Rivaz Garden, and drove away with the money and Zafar’s cellphone. Later on, Zafar’s car was found outside the shrine of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh.

After filing a report, Ali Zafar told the police that the kidnapper told him that he had been observing their activities for some time. His plan was to ask for Rs.15 million ransom but he changed his mind.
Ali was first reluctant to file a report due to the ‘threats’ by the kidnapper and media publicity but later registered a case, due to police insistence. Sadly, the police never caught the culprit.
