Aid package announced for health workers Died of Corona

The federal government has announced a relief package of Rs 3 million to Rs 10 million for the health workers who died of Corona.

In a press briefing after the meeting of the federal cabinet in Islamabad, Dr Zafar Mirza, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Health, said that the government was concerned about the protection and welfare of frontline workers against Corona.

Dr Zafar Mirza said that the health workers who died while caring for the Corona patients would be given the status of martyrs and a relief package of Rs 3 million to Rs 10 million would be provided to their families.

He said that this aid package would be implemented in Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir. The Special Assistant said that 100% pension and government house would be maintained for the heirs of the deceased health workers.

It is believed that the number of people infected with Corona across the country has exceeded 14,000 and 322 people have died.

Corona virus has infected several doctors and medical staff across the country, while 3 doctors have also died.
