22 years to Pakistan, being a nuclear power
It has been 22 years since Pakistan became a nuclear power and on this occasion, Youm Takbir is being celebrated across the country today.
Youm e Takbir is celebrated every year on May 28 and it is a memorable day when Pakistan emerged as the first Islamic nuclear power in the world and Pakistan made the national defense invincible by conducting nuclear tests.
In response to India’s nuclear blasts, Pakistan carried out five successful nuclear detonations at Chaghi in Balochistan on May 28, 1998, during the rule of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, after which the day is known as Yom Takbir.
