179 Pakistanis stranded in India due to lockdown,allowed to return home
176 Pakistani nationals stranded in various Indian cities due to lockdown gets permission to return to Pakistan.
A Foreign Office spokesman said in a statement that 179 Pakistanis stranded in India would return home via Wagah on May 27.
According to the spokesperson, Pakistanis in India were stranded in various states of Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Indian Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and New Delhi due to lockdown.
The spokesman said that the Wagah border will be reopened exclusively for Pakistani citizens tomorrow and all Pakistanis will reach the Indian city of Amritsar by this evening from where they will leave for Pakistan tomorrow.
The Foreign Office spokesman added that 400 Pakistanis have been repatriated from India since March 20, while the repatriation of more Pakistanis will continue through the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi.
