Views of Waseem akram on 2015 Cricket World Cup

Legendary cricketer and fast bowler, Wasim Akram, on Sunday surprisingly named Australia and South Africa as favourite teams for upcoming Cricket World Cup 2015.

Talking to reporters in Karachi, Wasim Akram excluded his national team from the favourite teams’ list of World Cup 2015 and said, ‘Pakistan is always be an unpredictive team as when and what it can do, nobody could answer in this World.’

However, Akram selected Australia and South Africa as its favourite teams that have full capabilities and performance history to win the international event.

The former Pakistani skipper, who also played 1992 World Cup with the winning team of Pakistan, admitted that Pakistani team proved their outstanding batting form in last match with Australia.

He specially told reporters that he mocked his Australian wife Shaniera Thompson over defeat of her national team before Pakistan.

Akram expressed his view regarding captaincy of Pakistani team, said, ‘Misbah is the best choice for captaincy in upcoming World Cup. No doubts, he fulfill his responsibility as Skipper via setting a record too.’
